Part-10-Cert_400.jpgThroughout the design, construction and delivery process, we strive to exceed the highest safety standards in order to protect our employees and contractors, all with an end goal of creating a modular building that will ensure the health and safety of the people who will use it.

BigSteelBox Structures and our modular construction facilities adhere to all procedures for Factory Certification of Buildings and has received CAN/CSA A277 certification.

The CAN/CSA A277 standard is a factory certification procedure that defines quality-control procedures and staff that a plant must have in place to ensure that the buildings it produces are built properly and in accordance with the relevant standards and codes.

The A277 Standard applies to both the manufacturing plant and the buildings. It focuses on the concept of "total quality" throughout the manufacturing process, not only the final product. The A277 Standard covers the procedure for certification of "manufactured", "modular" and "panelized" buildings, providing for the certification of the plant quality program and the product built, auditing of the plant quality program, and in-plant inspection of the product built.

From a structural standpoint, a building constructed of steel will be safer than one built from wood.

Part 10 Certified
BigSteelBox Structures modular buildings can, upon request at the time of quoting, be certified under Part 10 of the Alberta Building Code to meet or exceed the guidelines established by the Government of Alberta for re-locatable industrial accommodations. Learn more about our Part 10 Certification.

Benefits of Building with Steel

BSBS-skid-stairs_170X100.jpgFor mobile structures on remote worksites, building with steel makes sense when compared to wood-frame construction.

BigSteelBoxes are built for ocean shipping and withstanding the elements, so they're much more solid, durable and stackable than trailers.
